The Cork City 48-Hour Filmmaking Challenge

The People's Picturehouse Cork presents the third Cork City 48-Hour Filmmaking Challenge! Teams of filmmakers across Cork will have just two days, from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th June, to write, shoot and edit their brand-new original short films. Not only that, but they must adhere to a whole new set of special rules – it’s truly filmmaking on hard mode! Once their films have been completed, they will be judged by a panel of industry experts and awarded across a range of categories.

Join us for the Screening and Awards Show at The Everyman at 5.30pm on Sunday 28th June. All the completed shorts will be screened and introduced by the filmmaking teams, we will present the awards, and, most importantly, the winner of Best Film will be selected for screening at the internationally renowned Fastnet Film Festival in 2027.
