Cork Theatre Company Open Auditions for New Production

Cork Theatre Company, ‘Cork Shakespearean Company ’, has just announced they are opening auditions for its production of Shakespeare’s Othello, which will play in Cork Arts Theatre beginning November 23rd, with additional performances taking place elsewhere in January.

Auditions for the play will be held on August 3rd and August 6th at the Rock Community Centre, with a casting workshop on August 9th which shortlisted actors are expected to attend. The Director asks performers to choose pieces that allow them to demonstrate their range as a performer. They may also be asked to take part in a cold reading from Othello; the scene will be selected by the director.
