Krystal and The Queers Head Down Under in The Everyman

Krystal and The Queers return to Priosma Queer Film Festival with a brand-new play at The Everyman.

Following the success of their theatrical debut ‘Somewhere Under the Rainbow’ in Priosma’s 2025 Opening Gala, Cork drag queen Krystal and The Queers are returning to Priosma Queer Film Festival with their new production Krissy Down Under.

After a humiliating career setback, drag superstar Krissy sets off on an unexpected journey of self-discovery. When she encounters an Irish folk legend, she is propelled into a chaotic adventure of sex, sunburn and ultimate survival, accompanied by a legion of flaming queers.

The play will bring together a large cast from Cork's queer performance community and will feature familiar Cork Drag stars including Krystal Queer, Lucina Schynning, Liam Bee and Abrakedavre, as well as national drag sensations.

The new play comes to The Everyman Theatre on Sunday 13 September at 9 pm, as part of Prisoma Queer Film Festival, with tickets priced at €15.

Krissy Down Under is presented as part of Priosma Queer Film Festival, Cork's dedicated queer film festival.
