Audio Poetry Open Call

Launching on 16th June, Ó Bhéal go Béal will present a new monthly audio poetry programme on Éist Radio, featuring selected audio poetry submissions alongside readings and performances from guest poets.

The programme celebrates contemporary poetry, spoken word, and experimental sound work, showcasing a wide range of creative audio pieces from poets and sound artists.

Audio Poetry Submission Guidelines

Audio poetry submissions may include, but are not limited to:

  • recordings of poets reading their own work

  • poetry combined with sound art or experimental audio

  • poems responding to or interacting with field recordings

  • live poetry performance recordings

  • spoken word or poetry set to music

  • collaborative works combining poetry and sound design

To submit an audio poem for consideration, email obhealgobeal.poetry@gmail.com with a link to your recording and “Audio Poetry” in the subject line.

The submission deadline for inclusion in next month’s broadcast is 12th June.

Each monthly programme will feature approximately 20 minutes of selected audio poetry. Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis, and recordings not selected for the upcoming programme may still be considered for future broadcasts.

All audio poetry submissions must be original work created by the artist. Copyright and ownership of the work will remain with the artist.
